Exciting news, I’ve finally set up a Patreon for my webcomic Varro!!  Over the last few months of working two jobs and having a slew of computer issues, I’ve reached a temporary fix & gotten back to comic work.  However, I want to be able to work towards a permanent solution without delaying updates further.

SO KATSUCON WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED & MORE?!?!

My very first time attending & my expectations were through the roof.  I had been wanting to attend this convention ever since I discovered it in 2012!  But Maryland is a very long way from Missouri & with no friends able to make the trek with me, this was my very first solo convention. Which was terrifying!  

But amazingly, everything worked out!  I flew in on Thursday afternoon and roomed with some wonderful East Coast cosplayers.  All of my cosplays made it in one piece, nothing was forgotten or lost, & there was no bad weather to delay my trip!   I spent all of Thursday night just meeting people & wandering around the convention center.  (WHICH WAS EVEN PRETTIER THAN I IMAGINED!!)

On Friday I cosplayed Jinora in her wingsuit from Season 4 of Korra.  The response I got was incredible & I'm still trying to deal with everyone's kind words!  I absolutely can't wait to get my photoshoot pictures back & post them here.  Until then, here's a great video about cosplay that I was lucky enough to be a part of!  -->

Then, on Saturday, I had both a Kuvira & another Pearl shoot, before I changed back into Jinora for the rest of the con.  I met so many talented cosplayers and made a bunch of new friends!  I can't wait to go back next year.  Katsucon is a convention I can't recommend enough. 

SORRY I KINDA DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS.  Life really got away from me. x_x

 But I have a lot of plans for 2015 & have my convention schedule more or less figured out:

• Naka-Kon (Kansa City, MO) - All Weekend/Cosplay

• Colossalcon (Sandusky, OH) - All Weekend/Cosplay
• Cosplacon (Jefferson City, MO) - TBA
• Youmacon (Detroit, MI) - TBA

I'm really cutting down on the number of artist alleys this year (proabbaly only 2), since Varro is still on hiatus. But I'm slowly working on building up a decent buffer so I can start posting regularly again!  As far as other goals for this year, I'm going to be finishing more cosplays and getting more photoshoots!  I'm really excited to be kicking things off at Katsucon this year.  It's always been a dream convention of mine and now I FiNALLY GET TO ATTEND. DD

This weekend I'll be at Anime Central in Chicago as part of the artist alley!  So if you have plans to go, please please please stop by and see me!  My table location is E7!  I'll be selling prints, stickers, keychains, and I'll have a physical copy of my comic to flip through~ 



In other news, I GRADUATED COLLEGE!  I'm very excited about this not only because I successfully navigated college, but because now I have so much time to dedicate to art and cosplay!  Absolutely look for an increase in my productivity. I have three more conventions planned for this summer (Cosplacon and ACE in June & Motaku in August), so I plan to make a lot of new everything for them.  Along with keeping my comic updates at a steady rate!
